The Maine-made film, “The Wrong House” will be distributed nationally on Tuesday, June 7th.
It all began when Sue Stevens came home from work and found the front door open, their house ransacked. When venting about the burglary, she and husband Shawn French came up with an idea for a horror movie about a group of kids who rob an isolated home such as theirs and pay dearly for the mistake. They decided to play the killers themselves and film at their own home to help blur the lines and make it as real as possible. “The Wrong House” was born.
Filmed in Limerick, ME, this horror film was written and directed by Shawn French, produced by Sue Stevens and stars Stacy Ann Strang and Brendan Potter. “For Sue and I, this was a way to get over the break-in and make something positive out of it,” French said.
