Two men charged in Saco bowling center burglary | News
SACO, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Two men have been arrested in connection with a burglary at Vactionland Bowling Center in Saco early Saturday morning.
Saco police said they were first called to the bowling center on Portland Road just before 2 a.m. When they arrived on scene, they found a pickup truck fleeing the parking lot.
Police pursued the pickup to Dunstan Corner in Scarborough, where a male passenger exited the car. The vehicle then fled heading north, and police said the chase continued until the driver finally lost control of his car in Westbrook near the intersection of Riverside Drive and Warren Avenue.
Police said the driver then fled on foot to the Hammond Lumber Company nearby, where police set up a perimeter and eventually took the man into custody.
The driver has been identified as 36-year-old Albert Dadiego from Portland, and has been issued summonses for Class B Burglary, and an indictment will be sought for eluding a police officer, possession of burglar's tools, and refusing to submit to arrest.
Later in the morning Saturday around 2:30, Scarborough Police detained a man walking on Milliken Road. He was later arrested by Saco police, and he has been identified as 31-year-old James W. Green Jr. from Bangor.
Green was charged with Class B Burglary, and police said an indictment will be sought for criminal threatening, possession of burglar's tools, criminal mischief, and refusing to submit to arrest.
Both men are scheduled to appear at York County Superior Court in Alfred on April 11th.
