T.A. wins Class 'A' West, snaps Cheverus 34-game win streak
PORTLAND (NEWS CENTER) - For the second straight year, Thornton Academy led Cheverus after one half in their Western Maine Class 'A' final. This time, the Trojans closed it out in the second half knocking off the two-time reigning state champs 20-13.
Andrew Libby ran for 133 yards and three touchdowns in the win.
The Trojans will face Lawrence in next Saturday's state final at Fitzpatrick Stadium in Portland
