ED WEBSTER
In 1988, Ed Webster summited Mt. Everest in the absolute purest and best style that he could dream of - up a never-before-attempted route, with no bottled supplementary oxygen, without using radios, and with no Sherpa assistance. Webster has written about his experience in "Snow in the Kingdom: My Storm Years on Everest." He now serves as a consultant to National Geographic for an Everest mapping project.
