Bouchard wins back-to-back WMSGA titles | News

NEWS CENTER- 2011 WMSGA champ Emily Bouchard looked all but out of it after the first day of the 2012 tourney at Augusta Country Club.  In the subsequent 36 holes, Bouchard showed she could not only defend her title, but do so convincingly. 

Bouchard shot a a one-under par 71 in the third and final round to pull away convincingly from second-round leader Leslie Guenther by eight strokes.  The Saco resident's "sub-par" performance was the only one of the entire tournament.  For Guenther, a Norway resident and athletic director at Hebron Academy, this is her fourth runner-up finish. 

Six-time champ Pennie Cummings settled for third.  Mary Brandes and Micki Meggison rounded out the top-five.
