OLD ORCHARD, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- If you have had the luxury of growing up in Maine you know what a breath of the freshest air feels like... But for kids living in New York City that chance may only happen when a family opens up their home.
The Fresh Air Fund connects children from low-incole families with a volunteer host family in Maine.
The not-for-profit program reaches across 13 states from Virginia to Maine and Canada.
Children from New York City bus to Maine for a vacation that lasts one week in July or August.
If you are a single person, couple, or family who would like to host you can sign up on The Fresh Air Fund website.
