KENNEBUNKPORT, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- President George H.W. Bush will be in Maine Tuesday for the premiere of a new documentary about his life. Members of his family (including President George W. Bush) and cabinet will be on hand for the event.
The movie is called "41." It was produced by Jerry Weintraub, known for producing blockbuster hits like the "Oceans Eleven" and "Karate Kid" movies. But this project was much more personal for Weintraub.
Weintraub has known President Bush for more than four decades. He says it was important to him to make this documentary because he wants the world to see the former president as he sees him.
"What I think they'll walk away with, and what I think is important to walk away with is that he's a wonderful man who never bragged about himself and never told people how wonderful he was," Weintraub told NEWS CENTER. "And he just did what he had to do and did his jobs one, after another, after another, after another, and was the most prepared man for the presidency that we've ever had in America. "
The movie premieres Tuesday, which is Bush's 88th birthday.
