Official NFL PPK competition with division winners advancing to sectionals this fall

The Maine Games is again partnering with the Biddeford Youth Football Association to present an official NFL Punt, Pass & Kick "local" competition in conjunction with the 24th Annual Maine Shrine Lobster Bowl Classic, being held at Waterhouse Field (39 West Street, Biddeford), starting at 9 a.m. on Saturday, July 20.

This free event for boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 15 years is the first step in the national PPK championship which is held at an NFL playoff game next January. Age/gender division winners in the Maine Games event will qualify for a New England Sectional event held in the fall. Winners of each age/gender division at sectionals will advance to Gillette Stadium, in Foxboro, MA, and compete at the "team" level prior to a New England Patriots home football game.

This year the participants in the Maine Games PPK event will receive an athlete T-shirt courtesy of the Biddeford Youth Football Association. They'll also receive a Portland Seadogs Biscuit courtesy of Shain's of Maine Ice Cream. Additionally, participants will receive two tickets to the Maine Shrine Lobster Bowl Classic held later that afternoon. Age/gender division winners will be introduced during the half-time festivities.

Parents wishing to register their child or children for this event can do so online at: (use Zip Code 04005 to find our event).

All eligibility and other rules and regulations for this event are available at this website.

In past years several Maine Games PPK winners have won their sectional competitions and have advanced to Gillette Stadium, in Foxboro, MA.

The NFL Punt, Pass & Kick is the oldest nationwide youth sports competition in America.
