The York County Commissioners are pleased to announce that Kimberley White-Kaiser will assume the title of York County Emergency Management Agency Director effective May 1, 2011.  Kim will take the place of Robert Bohmann who is retiring after 17 years of exemplary service to York County.  Bob will stay involved as a special assistant to the new director.

Kim was born in Lewiston and grew up in the Mid Coast Region, attended Topsham schools and graduated from Mt. Ararat School.  She began her career in public service in 2003 following years in accounting, finance and customer service.  Kim served on the Woolwich Fire Department as a firefighter EMT until 2008 when she began her current position as Deputy Director for Lincoln County’s EMA.  Mrs. Kaiser is a Certified Emergency Manger in the State of Maine.  She received her Emergency Medical Services instructor license in 2009 as well as other instructor certifications which include hospital hazardous materials training and homeland security exercise development and evaluation training.  Mrs. Kaiser is currently enrolled in Fredrick College’s Associate of Science for Emergency Management studies and plans to then obtain her bachelor’s degree in Emergency Management.

Kim is the mother of three daughters ages 15, 17 and 18 and enjoys attending sporting, music and theatrical events involving her daughters.  She and her husband Jake also like motorcycle riding, antique cars and traveling.  Kim and her family will be moving to York County shortly.
