Two music legends and longtime friends, James Montgomery and Barrence Whitfield, join forces on February 10th at the Port City Music Hall to put on a “must see” show featuring James’ hot band includeing bassist David Hull who has played with Aerosmith and the Joe Perry Project.

Whitfield is an international singing phenomenon who continues to wow audiences worldwide with his uniquely powerful voice.  He runs the gamut from hard core Blues to R&B, Jump, and even some funky Rockabilly.  His energy on stage is magnetic and his voice one of the very best in the business. His ardent fans include Robert Plant, Dr. John, Steve Earle, Los Lobos, and Little Richard.  That should give you some idea of the range he is capable of singing!

James Montgomery and his band have never been hotter, coming off jams with Steven Tyler, Huey Lewis, and the Blues Brothers among others and having opened shows for Aerosmith and B.B. King. Bassist David Hull has played bass for many of the greats including Aerosmith, Joe Perry, Buddy Miles, and Joe Cocker. Guitarist George McCann has played in Steven Tyler’s solo band as well as the Blues Brothers with Dan Aykroyd and Jim Belushi. Drummer Seth Pappas one of the best in the business was once part of Whitfield’s band The Savages.

The combination of Montgomery and Whitfield has been incendiary!  The highly dynamic show has thrilled audiences throughout New England and they anticipate a European tour in the spring.

 Opening the show Is David Hull, An accomplished songwriter, producer and composer, and a highly sought after bassist and collaborator. David  has toured with many world reknowned musical artists through the years, including Aerosmith, Joe Cocker and Buddy Miles, among others… notably performing as bassist throughout Aerosmith’s “Route of All Evil” tour in 2006, with Motley Crue, and again in 2009. David recently appeared on The Jay Leno Show with Joe Perry.
