PEACE FOR PITS RESCUE will be joining AWS to celebrate the 'National Pit Bull Awareness Day'. This important event is to educate the public and to set the record straight about the American Pit Bull Terrier. We have an obligation to show what the media will not….the truth.

As responsible pit bull owners, we can no longer be willing to be judged, discriminated against, and criminalized by the image set by the visible minority of irresponsible, negligent and careless owners.

The event is an opportunity to open dialogue and to show people first hand that there is no such thing as a 'dangerous breed' of dog, but rather that problem dogs are the direct result of problem dog owners.

Please join us and learn the truth about this magnificent breed.

Peace for Pits Rescue, based out of Portland, ME, began in June 2009 and rescues pit bulls and pit bull mixes from southern states to re-home in New England, and beyond.
