Local Craftperson Helps Local Residents

How to deliver one-of-a-kind greetings to friends and family
Although many people are still enjoying the changing Autumn colors and trying to decide what their kids’ Halloween costumes will be, local retailers are already preparing for the winter holiday season.
While most of us squawk that it’s just too early to think about those winter holidays, we eventually find ourselves saying, “I can’t believe I haven’t send one holiday card yet.”  Sometimes, it’s just another consequence of a busy life, but more often it’s the result of frustration from looking through box after box of impersonal holiday greetings.
No one wants to compromise on design or sentiment when sending cards to friends and family at the most heart-warming time of year.  Yet, this is what happens when shoppers rely upon cookie-cutter boxed cards emblazoned with impersonal messages.

Old Orchard Beach High School Marching Band

Did you know that the Old Orchard Beach High School Marching Band is headed for finals in Portsmouth, New Hampshire on October 30th hoping to regain the gold.  They deserve it as we all know.  Did you know they were the first band in the history of the Maine Band Director’s Association to win gold four years in a row.  We all know they deserve it and are applauding their efforts this year.  They received the silver last year – which in itself is fabulous – but we all know they deserve the GOLD.  SO KEEP THEM IN YOUR THOUGHTS AND ENCOURAGE THEM IF YOU KNOW SOME OF THE MEMBERS.
Hip Hip Hurray to Mark Manduca – the outstanding leader of this group.  Here is his e-mail – send him a “good luck”
