MAKE SOME MEMORIES WITH HOLIDAYS PAST, THE 2010 FESTIVAL OF TREES AT THE DYER LIBRARY / SACO MUSEUM

Join us for the sixth annual Festival of Trees at the Dyer Library and Saco Museum! The Festival of Trees is a community event to benefit the programs of the Dyer Library and Saco Museum. Dozens of gorgeously decorated trees and wreaths will fill the Saco Museum’s Main Gallery, and the rest of the museum’s historic galleries will also be decorated for the holidays. Among the other highlights of the Festival are the Gala Reception on Saturday, December 11; a raffle of designer trees and wreaths concluding at the Gala; the popular Gingerbread Village; a Drawing Contest for area school children on view at the Dyer Library; visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus; Children’s Crafts Day; and more. FUNDRAISER

The Nonantum Resort in Kennebunkport will host a buffet breakfast on Saturday, November 13, to benefit the Marine Animal Rehabilitation at UNE. The breakfast, which runs from 7:30-10:00 a.m., costs $9.95 for adults and $4.95 for children under 10, and 50 percent of the proceeds will be donated to MARC.

“With our official mascot being Henry the Harbor Seal, we felt this was an important group for us to support, stated Tina Hewett-Gordon, General Manager of The Nonantum.  MARC plays an important role in helping to educate us all about the marine wildlife around us, so I am thrilled we can help in this way.”
