Goodwill Workforce Solutions to Recognize Job Seekers

Former RR Donnelley and WestPoint Home employees to speak about their job search, Goodwill services

Biddeford – Goodwill Industries of Northern New England will host a holiday recognition event for participants of the York County Jobs Alliance (YCJA) on Tuesday, December 14, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.  The event will be held at the Goodwill Biddeford Workforce Solutions Center, in Park One Eleven, 407 Alfred Road, Suite 102, in Biddeford.

The YCJA is a service offered by the Goodwill Workforce Solutions Center in Biddeford.  The group meets the first and third Tuesday of each month and is open to Goodwill clients residing in York County.  The meetings provide a welcoming space for sharing ideas about employment through open discussion, networking and support.  Each meeting features a guest speaker from the local business and professional community, who offer career exploration tools and feedback to job seekers’ questions.  Past presenters include

The Dyer Library and Saco Museum will be closed on Friday, December 24 for Christmas Eve; Saturday, December 25 for Christmas Day; and Saturday, January 1 for New Year’s Day. The Saco Museum will close at 3:30 on Tuesday, December 7.

Note that the Dyer Library will also be closed on Friday, December 31 for New Year’s Eve (the Saco Museum will be open noon to 5 p.m.)

HOLIDAYS PAST: Sixth Annual Festival of Trees
Our sixth annual holiday exhibition and fundraiser! Dozens of magnificently decorated trees and wreaths will be displayed and raffled off to benefit programs at the Dyer Library and Saco Museum. The Festival also includes a gingerbread village, visits with Santa, and many other events and activities for all ages throughout the month of December. Admission to the Festival of Trees is FREE thanks to the generosity of our many sponsors.
