In this day long workshop you’ll learn:

  • How to setup a web site that engages your audience, establishes your expertise, and encourages referrals for your practice
  • How to get your web site to rank higher in the search engines
  • How to integrate a blog, video and an email newsletter into your web presence
  • How to handle HIPAA and other Internet use issues unique to mental health practitioners

Two men charged in connection with Biddeford beating make first court appearance

SPRINGVALE, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Two men charged in connection with a beating over the weekend at a Biddeford motel were arraigned in Springvale District Court Tuesday afternoon.

Twenty year old Darren Crawford from Biddeford did not enter a plea to a charge of elevated aggravated assault and was ordered to be held at the York County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail.

Dale Pinkham, 20, of Old Orchard Beach, also did not enter a plea to the charge of aggravated assault and was ordered held in lieu of $35,000 cash bail.

Police say the two men were part of a group of five that went to the Sleepy Hollow Motel on Elm Street in Biddeford just before 2 Saturday morning.  Police say the men used a bat to smash the window of a room where a black man, his fiancee, and her 4 year old daughter were staying.

Rescheduled: PHOTOGRAPHY AT A CROSSROADS: Charles Moody and Early Art Photography in Maine

This lecture by Susan Danly, Curator of Graphics, Photographs, and Contemporary Art at the Portland Museum of Art, will explore how Maine was a center for photography in the late 19th and early 20th-centuries. Photographs by Saco's own Charles E. Moody (the subject of the Saco Museum exhibition Unconventional Portraits: Photographs by Charles E. Moody, co-organized by the Saco Museum and McArthur Public Library) will be interwoven with renowned masters of the medium who worked in Maine: F. Holland Day, Gertrude K'sebier, Paul Strand, Clarence White, and others.

This lecture and the accompanying exhibition are made possible, in part, by a grant from the Maine Arts Commission and the Maine Humanities Council.
